The delivery departed from the factory airfield in Komsomolsk-on-Amur and marks the official start of the public Su-35S transfers in 2026.
United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) has delivered the first public batch of Su-35S fighters of 2026 to the Aerospace Forces of the Russian Federation, officially opening this year’s tally of transfers for the model. The information was published on the corporation’s official Telegram page.
According to the statement, the aircraft departed from the factory airfield in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, in Russia’s Far East, where the Su-35S is produced, and flew to Russian Aerospace Forces airfields.

Although the exact number of aircraft in the batch was not officially disclosed, images and videos published by UAC itself indicate the transfer of two examples of the multirole fighter. This volume is in line with the manufacturer’s recurring practice of making deliveries in small batches.
The new shipment also draws attention because of its timing. In 2025, the first aircraft transfer had taken place on March 29, while the second was recorded on May 12. In 2026, however, the first public batch appeared later than the pace seen the previous year.
Even so, UAC continues to emphasize that it intends to expand production of this type of aircraft, amid continued demand from the Russian Aerospace Forces for air-superiority fighters and high-performance multirole platforms.

The Su-35S is one of the main fighters in operation within Russian military aviation and has been treated by Moscow as a strategic platform within its combat inventory.
The continuation of deliveries in 2026 reinforces the Russian aerospace industry’s effort to maintain the flow of production and fleet replacement.
